Counseling

A Mental Health Counselor works with clients to explore past experiences that are currently impacting their lives. Counseling aims to diagnose mental health disorders, challenge dysfunctional beliefs, behaviors, and thought patterns, and develop effective coping skills.

Counseling allows clients to openly discuss experiences and influences that are causing emotional distress in a comforting, non-judging, and supportive environment. Your and your counselor will work to uncover what influences and experiences are creating maladaptive perceptions, obstacles, and dysfunction in your life and help you develop way to cope.

Your counselor's focus is in treating a diagnosable disorder such as depression, post-traumatic stress, generalized and specified anxiety, eating disorders, gender identity disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, bipolar disorder, and more.

If you believe you're struggling with a mental health disorder, schedule an appointment with a licensed professional counselor.
